Getting Here Without a Car

It’s easier than you might think to reach Wolford Wood by train, bus, bike, or on foot.

• By Train: Moreton-in-Marsh Station sits on the Cotswolds Line, with regular direct services from Oxford, Worcester, and Hereford.
• By Bus: From the station, catch the 801 bus towards Chipping Norton — just ask the driver to stop near Four Shire Stone Farm, a short walk from our gate.
• By Bike or Foot: There are many scenic routes leading to us through quiet lanes and bridleways. It’s a wonderful way to soak in the countryside and start your visit feeling connected to nature.

When You Do Drive — Go Car-Free While You’re Here

We understand that for some guests, driving is still the easiest way to reach us — and that’s okay. We have a spacious car park (for up to 40 cars) and an EV trickle charger for those travelling by electric vehicle.

But once you’ve arrived, why not leave the car parked and spend a day or two exploring the area car-free? Walk to nearby villages, cycle through the back roads, or hop on a local bus. The slower pace brings unexpected joys — a chat with a local, a hidden view, or simply the time to notice what’s growing by the roadside.
